Weber State University Athletics
Swenson Gym
The Reed K. Swenson Gym is the home for the Weber State women's volleyball program.
The gymnasium first opened in 1962 and was the original arena for the men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball teams. In, 1977 all three programs moved to the Dee Events Center.
Starting in 2005, the building underwent a complete renovation. The facility was renovated specifically with the volleyball team in mind. It was finished in 2006, just in time for the start of volleyball season. As part of the renovation new classrooms, faculty offices, teaching laboratories, new locker rooms and an elevated track were added.
The gym seats approximately 1,200 people and is a much more intimate venue for the Wildcat volleyball team.
