  Weber State Sports Performance

 MISSION

Our staff strives to build and enhance each athlete’s abilities while reducing the likelihood of injury during the course of their athletic careers.

 PRINCIPLES

Every program designed and implemented by our staff is based upon sound training principles grounded in science in the following areas:
Strength
Speed
Change of Direction
Conditioning
Injury Rehabilitation
Recovery

Our training programs incorporate a combination of training protocols including:
Olympic Lifting Variations
Powerlifting Variations
Trunk Stabilization
Loaded Carries
Plyometrics
Single Arm and Leg Training

We also work extensively on training the muscles of the back, glutes and hamstrings (also known as the posterior chain), as these muscles are important for a physically balance athlete, reducing the likelihood of injury.
