OneRepublic to Perform in Concert at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah - OneRepublic will bring its multi-faceted music to the Dee Events Center-along with Augustana, The Spill Canvas and The Hush Sound for what many have referred to as “The biggest show to come to Weber State in years.” -Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., as part of the “Tag This Tour!” 2008.

Tickets are on sale at the Dee Events Center ticket office, or by calling 801-626-8500 or 800-WSU-TIKS.  You can also buy tickets online by clicking here.

OneRepublic's sound-likened by many to Coldplay or The Fray-is influenced by a variety of genres, utilizing instruments such as the cello, violin, keyboards, piano, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and drums.

Augustana brings to the Dee Events Center a sound that, according to one reviewer, is “something that bridges a sort of Irish folk-rooted, Beatles sound and the chill side of newer Americana, if that is possible.” The California-based group's debut album “All the Stars and Boulevards” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

The Spill Canvas was named one of Alternative Press' “Bands to Watch in 2007.” The band recently released its second album “No Really, I'm Fine” hoping to build off of the success of its first album, which sold more than 50,000 copies.

The Hush Sound combines the rock background of Bob Morris with the classical piano stylings of front woman Greta Salpeter. The band works under Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz's Decaydence label and toured with label-mates Panic! at the Disco after releasing its first album in 2006.

Ticket prices are $15 for students with current WSU ID, $25 for non-WSU students and $30 for floor seats.  They are available at the Dee Events Center Ticket Office, 801-626-8500 or 800-WSU-TIKS or online at weberstatetickets.com.  Discounted student tickets must be purchased in person at the ticket office.
