The Big Sky Conference has finalized the schedules for the 2018 and 2019 football seasons, which will feature a new member to the league.Â
In 2018, Idaho will join the Big Sky as a conference member in football, returning to the league in all sports. Idaho was a charter member of the Big Sky, joining Idaho State, Montana, Montana State and Weber State as charter members of the conference that was formed in 1963.Â
Also in 2018, North Dakota will leave the conference in all sports, but will play as an independent with a Big Sky schedule in 2018 and 2019 before leaving the league in football. The games against the Fighting Hawks will count in the Big Sky standings. Â

WSU will not play Cal Poly, Idaho, Montana, Portland State and UC Davis in 2018. Weber State will play at Cal Poly on Sept. 8, in a non-conference game.Â
In 2019, the Wildcats will open the conference slate against the Idaho Vandals in Moscow on Oct. 5. It will be WSU's first game against Idaho since the Vandals left the conference following the 1995 season. WSU will then have back-to-back home games against Southern Utah (Oct. 12) and Northern Arizona (Oct. 19) before back-to-back road games in California at UC Davis (Oct. 26) and Sacramento State (Nov. 2). The 'Cats will host North Dakota on Nov. 9, play at Montana on Nov. 16, and host Idaho State on Nov. 23.Â
