OGDEN – Weber State women's basketball honored lone senior Deeshyra Thomas Saturday afternoon before WSU fell 82-77 to Idaho.

Thomas has been an influential part of the Wildcat program for the last four years. She's played in over 100 career games, amassed over 1,000 career points and has averaged a .471 field goal shooting percentage. She's scored in double digits over 40 times in her career.

""Deeshyra is such a great young lady," head coach Bethann Ord said. "She has grown in these four years. It was great to have such a supportive crowd here because not only has she served on the court but in the community as well. Myself and this university has loved having her as part of our program and Wildcat family."

Weber State started the game off with momentum going into half time with a 42-39 lead. WSU maintained that lead for most of the third quarter but finished the last 3:40 seconds of the quarter without making a field goal and Idaho capitalized on that taking a 65-63 lead over Weber State going into the fourth quarter.

Idaho maintained the lead the entire fourth quarter and finished the game out with an 82-77 victory.   

Weber State was led by Thomas who had 26 points. Yarden Danan also had double digits with 13 points while Tyschal Blake and Kailie Quinn added 11 points each for the Wildcats.

Blake and Danan shared the game high rebounds each pulling down eight. Quinn had four assists and Blake added two steals.

Weber State shot 48 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three and 75 percent from the free throw line. WSU had 32 rebounds, 13 assists only eight turnovers and four steals.

WSU now drops to 12-15 overall on the season and sits at 6-10 in Big Sky play. Weber State will hit the road to Montana and Montana State for the final games of the regular season before heading to Reno, Nev. for the Big Sky Championships.
