Wildcats announce 2019 football schedule and special ticket offer

OGDEN - After another record-setting season in 2018, Weber State football has its sights on 2019. The Wildcats have announced the 2019 football schedule that includes six home games and a special ticket offer.
Weber State is coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons and back-to-back Big Sky Conference titles for the first time in school history. Head coach Jay Hill has led the Wildcats to three-straight FCS Playoff appearances for the first time ever and a top-five ranking in the nation in back-to-back seasons.
Now the Wildcats are gearing up for the 2019 season, which will be a 12-game schedule and feature six regular season home games for the first time since 2008, and six home games against Division I teams for the first time since 2006. Weber State will also face two FBS opponents.
Wildcat fans can get 2019 prices at a special rate. Now through National Signing Day on Feb. 6, 2019, season tickets are available at the 2018 ticket price. The early bird special includes six games for the price of five.
The Wildcats will open the season on Aug. 31 at San Diego State, followed by the home opener which will be a non-conference game against Cal Poly on Sept. 7.
WSU will return to the road at Nevada on Sept. 14, followed by a bye week, before hosting Northern Iowa in the final non-conference game on Sept. 28.
Weber State will begin Big Sky Conference play at Idaho on Oct. 5, the first time the Wildcats have faced the Vandals since Idaho left the Big Sky in 1995. The 'Cats will also face Big Sky road games at UC Davis (Oct. 26), Sacramento State (Nov. 2) and Montana (Nov. 16).
The Big Sky home schedule will include games against Southern Utah (Oct. 12), Northern Arizona (Oct. 19), North Dakota (Nov. 9) and Idaho State on Nov. 23.
The Wildcats will not play Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Montana State, Northern Colorado and Portland State in Big Sky games in 2019.
Weber State will also open the new Barbara and Rory Youngberg Football Center, the Sark's Boy's Gateway, the Stromberg Strength and Conditioning Complex, the Marquardt-Kimball Plaza and the Behnken Plaza complex on the north end of Stewart Stadium, prior to the start of the 2019 season.
