WSU's season comes to an end with 82-67 loss to Central Arkansas

Weber State women's basketball 2017-18 season came to an end Monday night as the Wildcats fell 82-67 to Central Arkansas in the WBI post season tournament.
The Wildcats started the game with back to back three balls the first by Larryn Brooks followed immediately by a made three ball by Kailie Quinn. Â With 6:55 on the clock, Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman sunk a jumper to give WSU an 8-7 lead. Central Arkansas finished the first quarter with a 20-6 run and had a 27-14 lead going into the second quarter.
Weber State started the second quarter with a five minute scoring drought that was broken by a pair of free throws by Welch-Coleman. WSU couldn't come back in the second quarter and trailed 46-24 going into halftime.
Coming out of halftime, Weber State went on a 12-4 run. The Wildcats couldn't claim the momentum the rest of the game and ended up falling 82-67 to the Sugar Bears.
Weber State was led by Brooks who had 16 points. Quinn had 15 while, Emily Drake had 14 and Welch-Coleman added 11. Jocelyn Adams, Drake and Briana Gray each contributed six rebounds to WSU's 35 total on the night.
Weber State ended the night shooting 33 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three and 77 percent from the free throw line.
Central Arkansas shot 51 percent from the field, 38 percent from the three and 75 percent from the free throw line. The Sugar Bears had 40 total rebounds.
The Wildcats finished the season with a 21-11Â overall record.
