Morgan-King and Sorensen compete at UW Indoor meet

Five Wildcat track athletes competed at the Washington Indoor Preview Saturday in Seattle, and the athletes competed for four spots on the WSU all-time top 10 and several career and seasonal best performances. 
 
WOMEN
Emily Morgan-King posted two career best times in the meet and both make the WSU all-time top 10. She posted a time of 7.52 in the 60 meters. That time ranks as the third fastest in Weber State history. 
 
She also had a personal best time of 24.61 in the 200 meters, which ranks as the sixth best in school history. 
 
Both times are also currently the fastest in the Big Sky Conference
 
Junior Kate Sorensen competed in the 60 meter hurdles and the 400 meters. She had a seasonal best time of 56.37 in the 400 meters, which is currently the second fastest in the conference. She also had a time of 8.74 in the 60 meter hurdles. 
 
MEN
The Wildcat men's team had three distance runners compete in the 3,000 meter run at the meet and two posted career best and top-10 times. 
 
Austin Byrer posted a time of 8:10.53 in the event to finish 12th overall. That time ranks as the fourth best in WSU history. Teammate Taylor Dillon was just behind with a time of 8:12.36, which is now the sixth fastest in WSU history. Those two times are the second and third best in the Big Sky this season. 
 
Christian Allen finished with a time of 8:29.37 in the 3K.

The Wildcat team will next compete at the Boise State Ed Jacoby Invitational this weekend.
