Wildcats remain No. 2 in the nation; home opener Saturday against UC Davis

No game last week but Weber State football remained second in the nation in the latest Stats Perform poll, released Monday.Â
The Wildcats received two first-place votes and trail only James Madison in the polls. North Dakota is third with Northern Iowa fourth and North Dakota State fifth.Â
Weber State opened the season with a 49-21 win over Idaho State on February 27. The Wildcats had last week's scheduled game at Cal Poly postponed to April 17.Â
WSU will play the first game at Stewart Stadium this week when the Wildcats host UC Davis on Saturday at 1 p.m. UC Davis opened the season with a 27-17 win at Idaho on Saturday and the Aggies are ranked 23rd in the nation in this week's poll.Â
