Four Wildcats earn All-American Scholar Athlete honors

Isabel Gutierrez, Rachel Lillywhite, Aerin Song, and Emily Song have all been named All-American Scholars for the 2022-23 season by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Four Weber State women's golfers have been honored for their success in the classroom. 

Isabel Gutierrez, Rachel Lillywhite, Aerin Song, and Emily Song have all been named All-American Scholars for the 2022-23 season by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.  

This year's All-American Scholar Team consists of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers from 378 programs. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Gutierrez, a sophomore from Mexico City majoring in Business Economics, played in all 10 tournaments during the season and had four top-10 finishes. She tied for ninth at the Big Sky Championships. 

Lillywhite is a freshman from Orem, Utah majoring in General Studies. She played in five tournaments during the season. 

Aerin Song is a senior from Beaverton, Oregon majoring in Microbiology. She earned third-team All-Big Sky Conference honors and led the Wildcats in scoring average at 75.14 during the season. She also had six top-10 finishes, including two top-five finishes. 

Her sister Emily Song is a freshman majoring in Construction Management. She played in nine tournaments throughout the season. 

All four players also earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors.
