Former Wildcat player Isiah Jackson named assistant coach

Jackson will coach the wide receivers at Weber State.
OGDEN - A former Wildcat is returning to Weber State. New WSU head coach Eric Kjar has named former WSU player Isiah Jackson as an assistant coach with the Wildcats.Â
Jackson, a former Weber State player and coach, will coach the wide receivers for the Wildcats. He brings coaching experience at both the collegiate and high school levels, along with strong recruiting ties in the state of Utah.
"We're excited to welcome Isiah back to Weber State," Kjar said. "He has great connections as a high school coach and a deep understanding of our program from his time as both a player and coach. He knows what it takes to be successful, is a great student of the game, and will be an excellent recruiter and fit for our staff."
Most recently, Jackson spent the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Cedar Valley High School, where he worked with the wide receivers and special teams units.
A native of Sandy, Utah, Jackson attended Jordan High School, where he played for Kjar.
Jackson was a member of the Weber State football program from 2017–21, helping the Wildcats win four Big Sky Conference championships and four FCS Playoff appearances. He appeared in 36 career games and finished his career with 20 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns.Â
Following his playing career, Jackson began coaching at Morgan High School, where he spent two seasons as the wide receivers coach.Â
He was also a graduate assistant at Weber State for two seasons.
Jackson earned his bachelor's degree in Outdoor Community Recreation from Weber State in 2021 and is currently completing his master's degree in Sports Coaching and Leadership.
