Weber State welcomes Draya Wacker

OGDEN - Weber State women's basketball and head coach Jenteal Jackson are excited to announce the addition of Draya Wacker to the Wildcat team. 

Draya Wacker is a 5'8" guard from Melstone, Montana.

A transfer from the University of Montana, Wacker played for the Lady Griz the past two seasons. During her time there, she played in 48 games, totaling 179 points and averaging 14.7 points per game. Wacker also totaled 34 3-pointers, 117 rebounds, 23 steals and 12 blocks during her time at Montana.

"We are extremely excited to add Draya to our team. She's a tremendous addition that will elevate us. We look forward to putting her in situations where she can flourish and utilizing her elite athleticism and dynamic skill set. The ceiling is very high for Draya, and we can't wait to get to work with her every day here at Weber State."

Prep:
A 2022 graduate of Melstone High … The 11th girls' basketball player in state history to reach 2,000 career points … Five times named All-State while playing varsity since eighth grade … Led Melstone to a conference championship, district and divisional titles and a spot in the Montana Class C state tournament as a senior … Played for the Class C team at the 35th annual Hi-Line Invitational Tournament in Havre following her senior season … Was named to the H.I.T All-Star team … Missed second half of junior season with an injury while averaging 25.1 points … Led the Broncs to the 2020 Class C state tournament as a sophomore, their first appearance at state since 1977 … Scored 44 points in the district championship game.
