As a Junior in 2008-09: Tonya played in all 29 games for the Wildcats... Has not missed a game in her career and has a consecutive games played streak of 88 games... Set career-high's with 375 points, 194 assists, 94 rebounds, and matched her career-high in steals with 53... Led the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 12.9 points per game, which ranked eighth in the Big Sky... Led the Wildcats in assists and steals for the second-straight season... Her 6.7 assists per game average was second in the Big Sky and ranked fifth in the nation... Averaged 1.83 steals per game, fourth-best in the conference... Her 194 assists last season set a WSU single season record, shattering the previous mark of 168 set by Karsen Muller in 2002-03.  The 194 dishes was only four short of her previous two seasons combined (198). She finished the season with 392 career assists, which ranks sixth all-time at WSU. She needs only 77 assists to break Karleen Peart’s (1981-84) career record of 468... Scored in double figures in 22 of 29 games, which was a team-best... Hit double figure points in the first 11 games of the season... Posted single-game career-high's of 21 points and 17 assists in an 85-80 win over Elon on Nov. 29 in Pittsburgh... Recorded two other double-double's during the year, both of which came in back-to-back games (10 points, 13 assists at Utah Valley on Jan. 27 and 17 points, 12 assists at Idaho State on Jan. 31)... Scored 20 points and added six assists and four steals in a 65-63 win over Utah on Dec. 19.


As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Tonya served as one of Tri-Captains for this season along with Sara Tuomi and Janie Rayback... She was the only Wildcat on the team to start in all 28 games during the season... Averaged 6.7 points on the year, the fifth best on the team... Scored in double figures seven times during the year... Recorded career-highs of 17 points twice during the year, in the second game of the season at Northern Iowa, and the final game of the year at Idaho State... Also averaged 3.1 rebounds per game and shot 38 percent from three-point land... Finished the year second in the Big Sky in assists at 5.6 per game... Recorded 156 assists during the season, the second most assists in a season in WSU history... Finished the year with career-highs of ten assists in three games, all coming in three of the final five games of the year... Recorded one double-double on the year with 12 points and ten assists against Northern Arizona... Also finished the season fourth in the Big Sky in steals at 1.9 per game... Recorded 53 steals on the year, tied for the eighth most in a season in WSU history... Tied the Weber State school record with seven steals in a game, in WSU’s win at Eastern Washington on January 12... Became the seventh Wildcat to record seven steals in a game and the first since 1990... Finished the year third in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 1.90 per game... Also shot 38 percent from three-point land during the year.

 

As a Freshman in 2006-07: Tonya played in all 31 games for the Wildcats during her freshman season... She averaged 1.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game for the Wildcats... Posted a career-high eight points in WSU’s home win over Montana on January 20... Scored points in 18 of 31 games and totaled 57 points on the season... Had 42 total assists, the fourth most on the WSU team, and had a career-high five assists in WSU’s 98-57 win over Idaho on November 25... Shot 27.3 percent from the field, including 3-11 from three-point land... Was 12-25 from the free throw line for 48 percent shooting... Recorded 21 steals for an average of 0.7 per game, and had a career-high four steals in a win at Portland State on January 12.

 

High School: Was a two-time basketball Second Team All-GSL selection... She was a four-year starter for University High School and earned four letters in basketball, four in soccer, and three in softball... Was also a two-time Metro All-Star and her team finished third in state her senior season... As a senior she was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee and led the state in assists at 4.1 per game... She averaged nine points, five rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game... In soccer, she was named the League MVP in 2005 and is a two-time First Team All-State selection and the GSL all-time leading scorer... She also earned two All-GSL honors in softball and was the 2006 University High Scholar Athlete of the Year.
