Tyrell finished his career with the Wildcats in 2011.  He appeared in 41 career games with the Wildcats and finished with 18 receptions for 185 yards and five touchdowns.  In May 2011 he was drafted with the 36th pick of the Canadian Football League Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the 29th player in Weber State history drafted in the CFL.

2011 (Senior)
Appeared in seven games and started four for the Wildcats before suffering a MCL strain in his right leg and missing the final four games...Recorded four catches on the year and two of them went for touchdowns...Finished with 38 receiving yards on the season...Had one touchdown of six yards against Utah State and had a seven yard touchdown against Idaho State.    

2010
Was set to be the starting tight end but missed the entire season due to an injury...Suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the first week of fall camp that caused him to miss the entire year and red-shirt the season.

2009 (Junior)
Shared time with Kevin Halfhill and Brian Jankowski after Cody Nakamura sustained his season-ending injury...Appeared in all 12 games for the Wildcats on the season...Recorded 12 catches for a total of 131 yards and had three touchdowns...Had two catches, both touchdowns, in the home game blizzard of WSU’s win over Northern Arizona on November 14...Totaled a career-high 34 receiving yards for those two touchdowns...Had over 20 yards receiving in four games...Also had a touchdown in WSU’s win at Northern Colorado October 24.

2008 (Sophomore)
Sustained an Achilles Tendon tear the first week of 2008 Spring practice, but worked hard to get himself back for the 2008 season...Played in 13 of the 14 games for the Wildcats as Weber State finished the season 10-4 and was co-Big Sky Champions....Did not have a reception on the season but did have one kickoff return for seven yards in WSU’s victory at Montana State October 11.   

2007 (Freshman)
Appeared in nine games as a freshman for the Wildcats...Had two receptions for a total of 16 yards on the year...Caught a 12-yard pass in WSU’s final home game of the season, a win over Fort Lewis...Also had a four-yard catch at Eastern Washington in the final game of the season.

Rutland Secondary
Played for Coach Peter Mall at Rutland Secondary...Helped his team to the 2004 Kelowna City championship...Was the MVP on the basketball team for the 2003-04 season...Signed with Weber State in February 2006.
