Filipe finished his four-year career at Weber State in 2018 and was part of back-to-back Big Sky championship teams and helped the Wildcats advance to three-straight FCS Playoff appearances. He played in 49 career games at Weber State and started in 46 games. He earned All-America honors and first team All-Big Sky honors as a senior. He finished his career with 102 total tackles with 12 tackles for loss.    

2018 (Senior)
Started in all 13 games for the Wildcats as part of the historic WSU team that repeated as Big Sky champions...Earned All-America honors for the first time in his career, as he was named to the third team by the Associated Press...Also earned first team All-Big Sky honors for the first time...Recorded 45 tackles on the season with 7.5 tackles for loss...Had a season-high seven tackles at Northern Arizona...Also had 1.5 sacks for a loss of eight yards, to go along with one forced fumble and one blocked kick. 

2017 (Junior)
Played in 13 games for the Wildcats, helping Weber State to a record-setting season, including the Big Sky Championship and two FCS Playoff wins...Totaled nine tackles on the season with a season-high four tackles against Southern Utah...Also had one tackle for loss against SUU...Had one fumble recovery in WSU’s home playoff win over Western Illinois. 

2016 (Sophomore)
Played in all 12 games and started nine games on the defensive line for the Wildcats, helping Weber State to the FCS Playoffs...Recorded 20 tackles on the season with eight solo and 12 assisted tackles...Had season-highs of four tackles against Sacramento State and Northern Arizona...Also had a forced fumble at South Dakota.

2015 (Freshman)
Started all 11 games on the defensive line for the Wildcats...Recorded 28 tackles on the season with 13 solo and 15 assisted...Had a season-high five tackles at Northern Arizona and had four each against Montana, North Dakota and Eastern Washington...Also had 3.5 tackles for loss on the year...Recovered a fumble in overtime to help lead Weber State to a win at Montana Oct. 10...Also had one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry on the season.

Mountain View High School
Graduated from Mountain View High School in 2012 and played for coach John Snyder...Earned Second Team All-State honors and was a First Team All-Region selection...Also did wrestling, track and rugby in high school...Originally signed with Southern Utah out of high school.
