Steve Scharmann

Stephen D. Scharmann, M.D.
Team Physician, Family Practitioner

Dr. Scharmann is a Brigham City, Utah native and a former Weber State University student-athlete. While attending Weber State, he was honored as the Big Sky Conference Student-Athlete of the Year in 1977.

He completed his medical training at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in Family Medicine with a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine.

He has served as a Venue Medical Officer for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games and was the Medical Director for the Utah-Moscow Youth Games.

He is currently the Assistant Residency Director for McKay-Dee Hospital's Family Medicine Residency Program and coordinates the hospital's High School Athletic Trainers Program.

Dr. Scharmann has served as team physician for Weber State University's Athletic Department since 1988.
