Cordero finished his four-year career at Weber State in 2015. In his four seasons he played in 42 career games with the Wildcats. He had two interceptions, with one returned for a touchdown at Montana in 2015. He also had 19 kickoff returns for 579 yards, an average of 30.5 yards per return and had a 100-yard return against Montana as a freshman in 2012. He finished his career with 110 career tackles, 12 pass deflections and two forced fumbles.

2015 (Senior)
Played in all 11 games and started four games as a senior cornerback for the Wildcats...Had a 30-yard interception returned for a touchdown that helped lead Weber State to an overtime win at Montana, WSU’s first win in Missoula in 28 years...Had 37 tackles on the season with 17 solo tackles and 20 assisted tackles...Had one tackle for loss...Also had one pass breakup on the season.

2014 (Junior)
Played in 11 games and started 10 for the Wildcats...Recorded 44 career tackles with 30 solo tackles...Had six tackles in two games, at Arizona State and at Sacramento State...Had five or more tackles five times...Also had four pass breakups and had four kickoff returns for 130 yards.

2013 (Sophomore)
Saw action in 10 games for the Wildcats during the season and started in six games...Had 11 kickoff returns for 279 yards, the second most on the Wildcat team...Had three kickoff returns for 110 yards against McNeese State, including a 69-yard return...Finished the year with 25 tackles, with 18 solo tackles...Had a season-high six tackles at Montana...Also had one tackle for loss...Had one interception for 28 yards, coming in WSU’s season-opening win over Stephen F. Austin...Had three rushing attempts for 36 yards during the season, with a season-high 25-yard run coming in the season-ending win over Idaho State.

2012 (Freshman)
Played in 10 of 11 games as a true freshman for the Wildcats...The highlight of the year came on his first career kickoff return which he returned 100 yards for a touchdown against Montana on Nov. 3...It was the fifth 100 yard kickoff return in Weber State history and the first in six years...It was also the first kickoff return for a touchdown in five years...In the last three games of the season he had four kickoff returns for 170 yards and one touchdown...Averaged 42.5 yards per kick return, all coming in the final three games of the season.

Gainesville High School
Played for coach James Thompson at Gainesville High...Earned All-Area honors and participated in the Florida-Georgia All-Star game where he was named the Team MVP...Had four interceptions, 56 tackles, nine pass breakups and two defensive touchdowns...Also rushed for 232 yards and had 210 receiving yards...Also competed on the track and field team in the 100 meters, 4X100 meter relay and in the triple jump...Has a 37” vertical leap.
