Desmond finished his three-year career at Weber State in 2022. He played in 23 games over three seasons with the Wildcats and twice earned All-Big Sky honors. He played two seasons at Boise State in 2017 and 2018 before transferring to Weber State. He played in 50 career games between the two schools.
Desmond overcame two ACL injuries at Weber State but still earned All-Big Sky honors twice. He totaled 135 career tackles in his 23 games at Weber State, including 86 solo tackles. He also had five interceptions, 12 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 6.5 tackles for loss.
2022 (Senior)
Played and started in 12 games as a senior and served as a team caption…Helped lead the Wildcats to a 10-win season and a trip to the second round of the FCS Playoffs…Earned second-team All-Big Sky honors at safety and totaled 70 tackles with 43 solo tackles…Had a season-high 13 tackles against Sacramento State and 10 against Montana State…Had an interception return for a 33-yard touchdown in Weber State’s FBS win at Utah State…Also had an interception in the win over Idaho State…Had one forced fumble, one blocked kick and six pass breakups.
2021 (Junior)
Returned for his second ACL injury and played in the last six games of the season for the Wildcats…Had 30 total tackles with 17 solo tackles, including a season-high 11 tackles against Portland State…Also had two tackles for loss on the year…Had two interceptions, one each in the last two games…Recorded an interception 65 yards for a touchdown in the final game of the season against Northern Colorado…Also had three pass breakups on the year.
Spring 2021
Played in five games for the Wildcats during the spring season, helping Weber State win its fourth-straight Big Sky title…Earned first-team All-Big Sky honors during the season and was second in the Big Sky with three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries…Also totaled 37 tackles with 28 solo tackles and had four tackles for loss with one interception…Was second on the Wildcat team in tackles…Suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the final regular season game against Idaho State…Had a season-high 10 tackles against UC Davis and had nine each against NAU and Southern Utah…Also had an interception in the win over NAU and recorded four pass breakups.
Missed the entire season with an ACL injury suffered in fall camp.
Boise State
Spent three seasons at Boise State and appeared in 13 games for the Broncos in 2018 and had 28 tackles with five tackles for loss and one sack...Also had two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery...In 2017, he played in 14 games and had 30 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks.
Centennial High School
Was a three-star recruit by Scout.com, rated as the No. 120 player in the country at his position and the No. 19 player at his position in California...Had 67 tackles, two tackles for a loss and one interception his senior season at Centennial...Helped Centennial to a No. 2 final MaxPreps national team ranking after losing to De La Salle in the CIF State Championships game...Earned second-team all-league honors as a junior and first-team all-league as a senior...Won back-to-back PAC-5 Championship titles in his last two seasons.
