Josh finished his career at Weber State in 2016. He twice served as a WSU team captain and twice earned All-Big Sky honors. He played in 47 career games at Weber State and ended his career with 237 tackles and five interceptions. He also had 12 career pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.

2016 (Senior)
Earned Second Team All-Big Sky honors after helping Weber State to a 7-5 record, a third-place finish in the Big Sky Conference and its first trip to the FCS Playoffs in seven years...Served as a team captain for the Wildcats and started all 12 games at safety...Finished third on the Wildcat team and 17th in the Big Sky in tackles at 7.4 per game...Had 90 total tackles on the year with 51 solo and 39 assisted tackles...Had 10 or more tackles four times with a career-high 16 in the win over Portland State...Also had 11 tackles at South Dakota and 10 each against Utah State and Cal Poly...Also had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery one interception and one pass breakup during the year...Against Cal Poly had 10 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception and was named the National Defensive Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.

2015 (Junior)
Was one of Weber State’s team captains during the season and started all 11 games at safety for the Wildcats...Recorded 69 tackles on the season with 32 solo tackles and 37 assisted tackles...Had a season-high 10 tackles in WSU’s season opener at Oregon State...Also had nine tackles in a win over North Dakota...Had one interception which he turned into his first career touchdown as he picked off a pass in the season opener at Oregon State and returned it eight yards for a touchdown...Also had three pass breakups and one fumble recovery during the year.

2014 (Sophomore)
Earned Big Sky Honorable Mention All-Conference honors after starting in all 12 games for the Wildcats at safety...Had three interceptions on the year, which tied for the sixth most in the Big Sky...Also finished 10th in the conference in passes defended with 10...Had an interception against No. 1 North Dakota State on Sept. 6...Also had a pick in WSU’s win at North Dakota and one in the season finale at Idaho State...Recorded seven pass breakups and had 51 tackles on the year with 38 solo tackles...Had a career-high 10 tackles at nationally ranked Montana State.

2013 (Freshman)
Played in all 12 games for the Wildcats as a redshirt freshman...Recorded 27 total tackles on the season with 10 solo tackles and 17 assisted tackles...Had a season-high six tackles at Portland State with four tackles unassisted...Also had four tackles at Utah, at Utah State and at Montana...Had one tackle for loss on the year and one pass breakup.

Sat out the season as a red shirt after signing with Weber State in February 2012.
