Josh finished his record-setting career in 2022. He played in 48 career games at Weber State and ended his career as a two-time All-American and a three-time All-Big Sky first-team performer. He also was named the Jerry Rice Award in 2028 as the National Freshman of the Year.
He finished his career ranking in the top five in Weber State history in career rushing yards and career all-purpose yards. He also holds the school record for rushing yards in a game.
He is second in Weber State history in career rushing yards with 3,801 yards and 27 rushing touchdowns, the sixth-most in school history. He also ranks fifth in career all-purpose yards with 4,731 yards. He had 474 receiving yards and 456 career return yards.
2022 (Senior)
Played in nine games for the Wildcats during his senior season…Had 120 carries for 636 yards and four rushing touchdowns…Ran for a season-high 129 yards and two touchdowns in the FCS Playoff win over North Dakota…Also had 100 rushing yards at UC Davis and had rushing touchdowns against Western Oregon and Utah State…Had five catches for 36 yards and a touchdown and had one kickoff return.
2021 (Junior)
Saw action in six games for the Wildcats during the season…Had 64 carries for 281 yards and two touchdowns…Rushed for a season-high 87 yards against UC Davis and had rushing touchdowns against James Madison and Montana State…Also had eight receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Played in four games for the Wildcats during the spring season, helping Weber State to a fourth straight Big Sky Championship…Missed the last two games due to an ankle injury...Earned first team All-Big Sky honors for the third time in his career, becoming just the sixth player in Weber State history to do so...Led the Big Sky in rushing at 96.2 yards per game...Totaled 66 carries for 386 yards and one touchdown...Had a season-high 141 yards rushing in WSU’s epic win over Northern Arizona...Also had 12 carries for 106 yards in the season-opening win at Idaho State, which included a 64-yard touchdown run...Also had six receptions on the year for 59 yards, with four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown coming in the win at Idaho State.
2019 (Sophomore)
Earned All-America and first-team All-Big Sky honors for the second-straight year in helping Weber State to a third-straight Big Sky title and a trip to the FCS Semifinals...Earned third team All-America honors by HERO Sports...Also earned first team All-Big Sky honors for the second-straight season...Played in all 15 games and finished sixth in the Big Sky in rushing at 75.7 yards per game...Totaled 1,136 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season, the 10th most rushing yards in a season in WSU history...Set a Weber State school record with 328 rushing yards in a win over Northern Arizona...The 328 yards is also the most rushing yards by any player in all of Division I football... Also had four touchdowns against the Lumberjacks and was named the Big Sky Player of the Week...Also had 177 yards and a touchdown in a win at Sacramento State and 129 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Cal Poly and was named Big Sky Player of the Week...Also had 29 receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown...Had five kickoff returns and one punt return...Totaled 1,441 all purpose yards.
2018 (R-Freshman)
Became the first Wildcat ever to receive national freshman honors...Was also named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year, the first player from Weber State to earn that honor, and earned first team All-Big Sky honors....In 12 games played set a Wildcat freshman record with 1,362 rushing yards, which also ranks as the sixth most yards in a season in school history...Had 250 carries and nine rushing touchdowns and finished the season ranked 12th in the country in rushing at 113.5 yards per game, which was also third best in the Big Sky...Had seven games with over 100 yards rushing and two games with over 200 yards, including a season-high 225 yards and two touchdowns in a win at Southern Utah...Also had 30 receptions for 193 yards and had 14 punt returns for 224 yards with one touchdown. He finished with 1,779 all-purpose yards, the most ever by a Wildcat freshman and the seventh most in a season in Weber State history. He ended the season ranked 10th in the country in all-purpose yards at 148.2 per game.
2017
Played in the first game of the season against Montana Western before suffering a season-ending injury...Had one kickoff return for 46 yards in the season opener...Was part of WSU’s historic season that included a Big Sky title, a school-record 11 wins and two wins in the FCS Playoffs.
Alta High School
Graduated from Alta High School where he played for coach Alema T'eo...Was named the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year...Set the Utah state record for all-purpose yards with 3,836 yards as a senior…Was named the Utah 4A MVP…. Rushed for 2,645 yards and 28 touchdowns, the second most rushing yards in a season in Utah state history…Also had 30 receptions for 412 yards and three more touchdowns and had three special teams touchdowns…Had 622 career carries for 5,289 yards and 56 touchdowns...Finished his career ranking third in Utah state history in career rushing yards and third in career all-purpose yards...Was also a two-time KSL MVP.
