Maurice (Mo) Neal finished his two year career with the Wildcats in 2011.  In his seasons he appeared in 20 career games with the Wildcats and recorded 86 career total tackles.  He had 46 unassisted tackles and nine tackles for loss.    

2011 (Senior)
Played and started in 10 of Weber State’s games during the season...Earned Honorable Mention Big Sky All-Conference honors as a linebacker for the Wildcats...Recorded 50 total tackles on the season, the fifth most on the Wildcat squad...Had  32 assisted tackles and 18 unassisted tackles...Had a career-high 10 tackles against Southern Utah on Oct. 22...Also had 6.5 tackles for the loss on the year, also fifth most on the team...Recorded an assisted sack in WSU’s first game of the season at Wyoming...Had eight tackles as well as an interception and a fumble recovery against second ranked Montana State on Nov. 5...Suffered an injury in the game against the Bobcats and did not play in WSU’s final game of the season.   

2010 (Junior)
Transferred to Weber State for the 2010 Spring semester after spending two years at the University of Utah earning a varsity letter...In his first season with the Wildcats he appeared in 10 games and started nine games at the outside linebacker position...Recorded 36 total tackles on the season with 28 unassisted tackles and eight assisted tackles...Had a career-high seven tackles, all unassisted at Sacramento State on September 18...Also had five tackles in WSU’s four-overtime win over Northern Colorado and had five tackles at Texas Tech...Had one interception on the season, which he returned for 73 yards in WSU’s win at Idaho State October 16...Also had one pass breakup on the season.

University of Utah
Knee injuries slowed him his first two seasons...Sat out the 2007 year as a red-shirt, but made the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll...Played in nine games during the 2008 season and had nine total tackles (four unassisted) with a game best four tackles vs. San Diego State.

San Leandro High School
2006 Cream of the Crop and preseason All-American...First Team all league and Second Team All-East Bay...Played for two-time HAAL champion San Leandro High...Had 48 tackles, interceptions returned for touchdowns, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries his senior season.
