Rathen finished his career at Weber State in 2018 and was part of WSU’s back-to-back Big Sky Championship teams. He graduated from Weber State University in April 2019.
2018 (Senior)
Saw action in three games during the season in helping the ‘Cats to a second-straight Big Sky title...Was 3 of 4 passing for 18 yards in WSU’s win over Sacramento State...Also had one rushing attempt for a four-yard touchdown in Weber State’s win at Idaho State.
2017
Sat out the season as a red shirt after transferring from Boise State...Was part of Weber State’s historic season that included a school-record 11 wins, a Big Sky title, two wins in the FCS Playoffs and a fifth-place national ranking.
Boise State
Transferred to Boise State and was with the Broncos during spring practice in 2017.
Mesa Community College
Played the 2015 and 2016 seasons at Mesa Community College and finished his career rated the No. 6 junior college quarterback in the country by ESPN...Was named the National Junior College Offensive Player of the Year in 2016 after leading the nation in touchdown passes (42), pass completions (282), pass attempts (434) and passing yards (3,688)...Helped lead Mesa to a fifth-place national ranking...Was second in the nation in passing yards per game at 335.3...Threw for 4,542 yards and 52 touchdowns in his two seasons at Mesa.
Arizona State
Sat out the 2014 season at Arizona State after returning home from an LDS Church mission.
Show Low High School
Led Show Low to a 3A State title and broke five Arizona state passing records...Was named the Arizona Republic Small School Player of the Year in 2010..Threw for 4,413 yards and 55 touchdowns as a senior and finished his career with 8,428 yards and 112 touchdowns.
