Ty finished his outstanding career at Weber State in 2022. He played in 58 career games over five seasons with the Wildcats, the second-most games played in school history. He was part of three Big Sky Championship teams and helped lead the Wildcats to the FCS Playoffs four times. 

Ty had 150 receptions for 2,389 yards and 18 touchdowns during his Wildcat career. He finished his career ranked fourth in Weber State history in receiving yards and eighth in career receptions.  

He served as a team captain for the last three years of his career. 

2022 (Senior)
Started all 13 games and again served as a team captain, helping Weber State to a 10-win season and a trip to the second round of the FCS Playoffs…Earned second-team All-Big Sky Conference honors for the first time in his career…Had 58 receptions for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns…Became the first Wildcat in 12 seasons to have 1,000 receiving yards for a year…Had at least one catch in all 13 games and had 80 or more receiving yards six times…Had six catches for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Utah Tech and had six catches for 128 yards and one touchdown in the win over Eastern Washington…Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Family Studies.


2021 (Junior)
Was a team captain during the season and started all 11 games for the Wildcats…Finished second on the team in receiving with 37 catches for 478 yards and two touchdowns…Had at least one reception in every game and had five catches in four games…Had a season-high 95 yards receiving against Montana State…Had touchdown catches in wins over Dixie State and Cal Poly…Averaged 43.5 yards per game and 12.9 yards per reception…Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Professional Sales. 
 

Spring 2021
Played in all six games during the season, helping Weber State to a fourth straight Big Sky Championship...Was selected as a team captain by his teammates...Finished eighth in the Big Sky in receiving yards per game at 65.8...Had 19 receptions for a team-best 395 yards on the season...Had four catches for 108 yards in WSU’s home win over Idaho State, including a season-long 60-yard reception...Also had four catches for 87 yards at Southern Utah, including a 56-yard catch, and three catches for 93 yards, including a 48-yard reception in the season-opening win at Idaho State...Had at least one reception in all six games. 
 
2019 (Sophomore)
Played in all 15 games for the Wildcats during Weber State’s historic season, helping WSU win a third-straight Big Sky title and advance to the FCS Semifinals…Finished the season with 32 receptions for 489 yards and four touchdowns...Had career-highs of 11 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown at Montana, the most receiving yards in a game by a Wildcat in five years...Also had five catches for 117 yards and a touchdown in a win at Sacramento State and had five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in the FCS semifinal game at James Madison...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Finance. 
 

2018
Sat out the season while serving an LDS Church mission in Nicaragua. 
 

2017 (Freshman)
Played in 13 games for the Wildcats as a true freshman wide receiver during WSU’s record-setting and Big Sky Championship season...Had four receptions for 27 yards and one touchdown...Had a 17-yard touchdown catch in WSU’s Big Sky title-clinching win over Idaho State on Nov. 18...Also had two catches for four yards in WSU’s FCS Playoff win at Southern Utah on Dec. 2...Also had seven tackles on the season...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in General Studies. 
 

Lone Peak High School
Played for coach Mike Mower at Lone Peak and earned First Team All-State and All-Region honors...Also set a Lone Peak single-season record for receiving yards and tied the all-time record for touchdowns in a season...As a senior had 72 receptions for 1,235 yards and 16 touchdowns...Posted 90 career receptions for 1,494 yards and 19 touchdowns...Earned Academic All-Region honors as a junior and senior...Also competed on the track team at Lone Peak.
 

Personal
Was born Jan. 22, 1999, in Detroit, Michigan...Parents are Rob and Annie MacPherson and has three siblings...Is a singer and also loves all sports...Is a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs...Left for an LDS Church mission to Nicaragua following the 2017 season...Married his wife Ryanne in 2021.
