The 2022 season will be the 12th season for Mike Manning with the Weber State program and the 11th as an assistant coach. Manning came to Weber State in 2011 as a volunteer assistant coach, then became a full-time assistant coach in 2012 after the retirement of longtime WSU coach Tom VudhiVadhana. He has served as an assistant coach under Tim Crompton, Meagan Thunell and Craig Sanders. 

During his time with the Wildcats, Manning has helped lead Weber State to a Big Sky regular season title, a trip to the NCAA Tournament and six Big Sky Championship appearances. 


He 
came to Weber State with over 20 years of coaching experience in varying levels, from youth programs to Olympic Development. Manning is well known in Utah and regional coaching circles, having coached in the Utah Olympic Development Program from 2006-2011. 

He also helped found the Jr. Wildcats, a grassroots level youth recreation soccer program based in Ogden. Manning previously served as the Director of Coaching for Utah Rush FC for four years from 2005-09.A native of Canoga Park, Calif., Manning also spent four years working with U.S. Soccer Federation in an administrative and support role, traveling both domestically and internationally.

Manning currently holds a USSF "C" license. 

Manning has an older brother and two younger sisters.
