Damir Sabanovic joins the Wildcat staff after spending one season at Idaho State and seven at Westminster University.
“We are excited to announce the addition of Damir Sabanovic as our goalkeeper coach.” Head Coach Kyle Christensen said, “He is an experienced and passionate coach who will help our goalies and team continue to improve.”
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sabanovic won the 2007 Utah State Championship as a member of Jordan High School before spending four seasons in goal for the Westminster Griffins, playing in 33 career games.
Sabanovic began his coaching career with the Griffins, spending 7 seasons and coaching multiple All-Conference and All-Region players, before joining the coaching staff at Idaho State for the 2025 season.
Sabanovic graduated from Westminster with a Bachelor’s of Accounting and a Master's of Business Administration. He is married to his wife, Kassidy Sabanovic.
