Dixie Anderson

Dixie Anderson is in her first year as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Academic Services at Weber State. She joined the WSU staff in August 2026.Â
Anderson is a lifelong resident of Northern Utah and currently lives in North Ogden. She spent 12 years as a substitute teacher in Weber County, where she developed a passion for helping students succeed both academically and personally. For the past eight years, she has also volunteered as a Golden Retriever puppy raiser, preparing future therapy dogs for service.
Over the past three years, Dixie has built strong relationships within Weber State Athletics while serving as an athletics tutor. Her dedication to student-athlete success was recognized when she was named the 2025 Mentor of the Year Award at the Weber State Athletics Academic Banquet. During that same time, she also worked as a Weber State Events Usher, further strengthening her connection to the university and its community.
Weber State has been an important part of Dixie's family for decades. Her husband earned his engineering degree from Weber State a few years after they were married in 1993. Her sister-in-law competed on the Wildcat track and field team in the mid-1980s, and both of Dixie's sons have gone on to enjoy successful careers in Weber State's track and field program, making her an incredibly proud Wildcat mom.
Outside of work, Dixie enjoys cheering on college sports, watching a great romantic comedy, spending time with her family and dogs, and never turning down an iced coffee. She is passionate about helping student-athletes thrive in the classroom and is excited to continue supporting their success as a member of the Weber State Athletics academic services team.
