    Assistant Coach
Dondrale Campbell is in his first season as an assistant coach at Weber State. He joined coach Canales and the Wildcat staff in May 2026. 

Campbell comes to Weber State after spending the last three seasons on the staff at Big Sky member Northern Colorado, where he was an assistant coach and the Director of Player Development. 

He also brings several seasons as a high school head coach and more than a decade as a basketball skills trainer to Weber State. 

In his three seasons at Northern Colorado, Campbell helped the Bears to a Big Sky regular season title in 2025, and UNC twice won 20 or more games in a season. 

Prior to Northern Colorado, Campbell served as a high school head coach in Portland for seven seasons. He was the head coach at Cleveland High School for six seasons, beginning in 2017, and led the Warriors to their first league title in 60 years. He won 68 games in five seasons as head coach, including a 22-6 record in his final season. He was named league Coach of the Year twice. 

He spent the 2022-23 season as the head coach at Grant High School before moving to Northern Colorado. 

Campbell began his coaching career as an assistant coach at South Puget Sound Community College from 2014-16. 

In addition to coaching, Campbell has also spent more than a decade as a trainer, including several years as a counselor at the renowned Formula Zero Camp, hosted by NBA Superstar and Weber State General Manager Damian Lillard. 

Campbell is a native of Oakland, California, and attended Oakland High School, where he was high school teammates with Lillard. 

He also played college basketball at Monterey Peninsula College and Greenville College. 

He played professionally for the Sonoma County Crushers and the Sacramento Heat Wave in the American Basketball Association, and also played for the St. Johns Mill Rats in the Canadian National Basketball League. 

Campbell and his wife Jazmyn have four children.
