Hannah Ortega is in her first season as the Pitching Coach for Weber State softball. She was hired in July 2026 as an assistant coach with the Wildcats.Â
Ortega just completed her college career at Utah Valley, where she spent the 2026 season. She had 23 appearances for the Wolverines with two starts and pitched 31.2 innings. She also recorded three wins on the season.Â
Prior to playing at Utah Valley, Ortega spent three seasons at Fresno State. In two seasons of action, she pitched 60.2 innings and had 36 strikeouts.Â
She began her collegiate career at Bethune-Cookman in 2002 and earned first-team All-SWAC honors. She was also named the SWAC Freshman and Pitcher of the Year after posting a 2.98 ERA with 117 strikeouts.Â
Ortega is a native of Linden, California, and played at Linden High School.
