Kerri Thompson, who has been a part of Weber State Athletics since 1997, assumed the position of Assistant to the Wildcat Club Director in June of 2012.
In her current position, Kerri is involved in Wildcat Club special events and booster/donor customer service. She also handles money deposits for the Athletic Department, is the time-keeper for hourly and work-study staff and reconciles travel and credit card expenses for Athletic Department administrative staff.
Kerri started her career with Athletics in the fall of 1997 as a part-time clerk in the area of student-athlete insurance. Two years later, she was promoted to the position of full-time insurance coordinator and department administrative assistant, primarily working for the football staff. Her expertise was interpreting student-athletes primary insurance carrier policies, NCAA rules, WSU's secondary insurance carrier policies and department policies regarding athletic-related accidents/injuries, and processing insurance claims.
From 2003 thru 2009, Kerri was also assigned the duties of coordinating football team travel. She made all air and bus travel arrangements, booked hotels, planned meals, coordinated game tickets, and worked with the staff of other universities in order to reserve practice fields and coordinate away-game logistics. Kerri also traveled with the team for all "away" games, making sure that coaches and student-athletes did not experience any problems while traveling.
Kerri lives in West Haven with her husband Jason, son Scout, and daughter Khloe.
