The 2010 season will mark the seventh season for former Wildcat standout Stephanie Birch as assistant coach at Weber State.  She serves in the Administrative Assistant position with her main focus on team travel, home game management, and scouting.  
    
Coach Birch was a four-year starter for the Wildcats from 2000-03.  She was named to the All-Big Sky Conference First Team in 2002 and the Second Team in 2003.  She was also selected as the Weber State Team MVP both years.  Birch also earned Big Sky Conference All-Academic all four years of her career.  
    
Brich ranks in the WSU career top ten in five categories.  She is second all-time in career kills at 1,365 and is also second in career attacks with 3,803.  She also ranks sixth in career digs at 1,059 and is fifth in kills average and ninth in sets played.  Birch is one of seven players in Weber State history to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.    

Brich ranks fourth in WSU single-season history for kills with 501 in 2002.  She is alos fourth in single-season attacks and sixth in kills average, both coming as a junior.

Birch was born February 1, 1982 in Pocatello, Idaho.  She attended Bear Lake High School in Montpelier, Idaho and graduated in 2000.   She earned a Bachelor's degree from Weber State in 2004 in Early Childhood Development.  

Formerly Stephanie Kropushek, she was married to Jesse Birch in 2003.  The couple has two children, Brynlee, age 4, and Braxton, born in April 2009.
