BROOKINGS, SD -- The soccer teams of Weber State and South Dakota State just can't seem to find a way to beat each other. For the second-straight season, the Wildcats and Jackrabbits dueled to a 2-2 draw, with this season's version coming on Friday night at Fishback Soccer Park.

WSU junior midfielder Shaylee Hyde scored her first goal of the season with just nine seconds left in regulation play to as the equalizer, forcing overtime as she netted a ball off a corner kick. The score also was reminiscent of 2006 as it was Hyde's goal in the 88th minute of that contest that knotted the match at 2-2.

South Dakota State drew struck first, as Kelsey Worchester scored in the 15th minute. Kellyn Farrell and Tory Schlitgen each earned an assist on the game's opening score.

Late in the 44th minute, striker Natalie Blaylock found the Wildcats' first equalizer of the night, scoring on an assist from Hayley McCoy. McCoy recorded a Weber State single-match record 12 shot attempts in the contest, and placed four on-goal, but her lone point came on her assist to Blaylock.

In the 49th minute, Schlitgen earned her second assist of the night, this time finding Kaitlyn Justice, who put the Jacks ahead 2-1.

After Hyde's clutch goal knotted the game, the two squads dueled scoreless for 20 minutes of overtime soccer, producing the draw.

WSU goalkeeper Deysha Victorine, who remains in the lineup as Rebecca Ritchie recovers from a concussion, recorded six saves for the Wildcats.

Blaylock was booked twice by referee Edvin Jurisevic in the final two minutes and nine seconds of the second overtime period, earning a red card. Subsequently, Blaylock will miss WSU's next match, which will take place on Sunday, Sep. 23 as the 'Cats face Creighton in Omaha, Neb.

The Wildcats move to 3-3-1 on the season, while SDSU saw their record move to 2-1-3.
