Wildcats Shutout In Hawaii

HONOLULU -- The Weber State women's soccer team dropped its second-straight match, going scoreless in a 1-0 loss to the University of Hawaii on Friday night at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Kelli‑Anne Chang scored the winning goal in the 37th minute to snap a two‑game losing streak for the Rainbow Wahine, who improved to 6-2-1 on the season.
The Wildcats (3-5-1) were outshot 21-9 overall and 10-2 in the opening period. In the second half, WSU was able to produce some good scoring opportunities, but the 'Cats were unable to find the back of the net for the second straight match.
Deysha Victorine, who recorded three saves in the match, saw her record fall to 1-3-1, despite allowing only a single goal.
The Wildcats will remain in the islands for their next match, as they will face BYU-Hawaii on Monday, Oct. 1 at 8:00 p.m. MST.
