OGDEN, Utah -- Montana State's Nubia Garcia scored 15 points and added 17 rebounds to lead the Bobcats (12-13 overall; 6-7 Big Sky) to a 79-56 win over Weber State (8-18; 3-10) on Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.
Garcia was one of five MSU players in double figures, joining Sarah Strand (15), Erica Perry (15), Katie Bussey (16) and Jenny Heringer (10).
The Wildcats were led by Caitlin Anderson and Michelle Roberson, who each posted 13 points. Tonya Schnibbe added nine points and six assists for WSU, while Joey O'Neill added eight points.
Turnovers were a trouble spot for the second straight game as Weber State gave the ball away 19 times, leading to a 24 to 8 MSU scoring edge in points off turnovers.
The Bobcats also took advantage of a 47 to 31 edge in rebounding (17-5 on the offensive end) to earn 26 second chance points, while the Wildcats scored only six points on second opportunities.
Weber State will hit the road next week, traveling to Northern Arizona and Sacramento State before coming home for the regular season finale on Mar. 6 against Idaho State.
