Thorderson's Buzzer-Beater Leads 'Cats to Win Over NAU

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Ali Thorderson hit a three-pointer as time expired to lead Weber State (9-18 overall; 4-10 Big Sky) to a 63-60 win over Northern Arizona (8-19; 5-9) on Thursday night at the Rolle Activity Center.
The Wildcats placed four players in double figures, led by Caitlin Anderson, who scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds. Thorderson added 12 points, Sarah Conner added 11 points and Tonya Schnibbe chipped in with 10 points and seven assists. Karlee Weight nearly made it five players in double figures as she recorded nine points and five rebounds off the bench for the Wildcats.
Sade Cunningham kept the Lumberjacks in the game, posting game-highs with 24 points and eight rebounds, while also adding six assists.
The win keeps the Wildcats alive for a berth in the Big Sky Conference tournament. The 'Cats have one more game remaining on the current road trip as they will travel to play Sacramento State on Saturday night. They will then return home for the regular season finale on March 6 against Idaho State.
