'Cats Finish Season with Win over ISU

OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's tennis team wrapped up the 2010 season on Friday afternoon with a 4-3 win over Idaho State at the Ogden Athletic Club.
Weber State claimed the doubles point behind wins at the No. 2 and 3 matches. Brittiny Moore and Caroline Drugge fell behind 2-1 in the No. 2 spot, but won seven of the next nine points to put away Lisel Lewis and Risa Fujiwara 8-3. Sisters Keya Jenkins and Kassia Adamson, meanwhile cruised to an 8-2 win over Rachel Ryan and Amy Bettis at No. 3.
The two teams split the six singles matches, giving the Wildcats just enough points to pull out the match. Adamson put WSU ahead 2-0 after a quick 6-1, 6-1 win over Ryan at No. 6. Drugge defeated Fujiwara 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5, and Jenkins beat Sophie Dang 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 to clinch the match for Weber State.
The Wildcats finish the season 7-15 overall and 3-5 in Big Sky play, while ISU fell to 1-12 overall and 1-7 in the conference.
