Wildcats fall on Senior Day

Ogden, UT — The Montana State Bobcats defeated the Weber State Wildcats 6-1 on a day when Cindy Li was honored as the team's only senior.
The Wildcats were swept in doubles play, falling 6-1 and 6-3 on Courts #1 and #3, respectively. The decision gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead heading into singles play. The duo of Cindy Li and Savannah Johnson went unfinished in their match on Court #2.
Cindy Li secured the lone team point for the Wildcats taking her singles match in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-3. In the other five singles matches, the Wildcats lost in straight sets. Savannah Johnson pushed the first set of her match to a tiebreaker before ultimately falling 7-6, (7-4).
The 'Cats will head south next weekend as they will take on the Utah Tech Trailblazers in St George, Utah on Friday, April 4th. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m. The Trailblazers come into Friday with a record of 3-12 and having lost three in a row. The Wildcats search for their first victory of the season will continue on Friday in St George.
