Vikings top Wildcats in Ogden

Ogden, UT — The Weber State Wildcats women's tennis team fell at home to the Portland State Vikings 4-3
In doubles, the 'Cats were swept on all three courts. Falling 6-2, 6-4, and 6-4 on Courts #1, #2, and #3, respectively.
The Wildcats battled back in singles play, taking three of the six matchups. Maggie Song took down her opponent in the #3 position 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets. Paulina Aleksandrowicz and Naomi Johnson both took the wins after going the three-set distance.
Aleksandrowicz won 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Court #2, and Johnson took home the win with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 result.
The 'Cats will continue the home stand on Sunday morning when they play host to the Eastern Washington Eagles. The Eagles come into Utah with a 9-8 record on the season and a 3-3 mark in Big Sky play.
Prior to the 9:00 a.m. start time, the program will honor Senior Jessica Hill for all of her contributions to the Wildcat Tennis Program.
