‘Cats fall in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA — The Weber State Wildcats women's tennis team fell on the road in Sacramento, 7-0, to the Hornets.
In doubles, the 'Cats were swept on Courts #2 and #3 by the same 6-0 score. With that result, the Hornets took a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
In singles, the Hornets did not let off the gas as they won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Naomi Johnson went the distance on Court #6 before falling in the third set 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The 'Cats will return home to Ogden to take on the Portland State Vikings on Friday, April 10th at 11:30 a.m. The Vikings are an even .500 on the season at 5-5 with matches against Idaho and Eastern Washington on deck before they turn south for Ogden.
