Volleyball falls to in-state rival Utah State, 3-0

Utah State won the match in three close sets, winning 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-16) at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Junior libero Nina Blake had 13 digs for Weber State (0-4), while Wray also added eight digs.
The Aggies gained the early lead in the third set and the Wildcats struggled to keep pace early on, falling behind 22-11 before battled back within seven.
The second set saw Weber State rally from an early 6-3 deficit to take a 13-11 lead. The teams battled it out to 15-15, before a short Utah State run pushed the lead to 20-16 and the eventual six-point win.
Wray had six kills and hit .500 in the set.
The Wildcats got off to a slow start in the first set, falling behind 6-0 and 10-3 before staging a rally to tie it at 12-12. Unfortunately for the 'Cats they couldn't keep the momentum going and the Aggies gradually pulled away for the eight-point win. Wray had five kills and hit .400, along with four digs in the set.
Weber State returns to action on Friday, September 3, at the Nevada Invitational in Reno, Nevada. The Wildcats will face host Nevada to kick off the tournament.
