Wildcats drop heartbreaker to Eagles

CHENEY, Wash. -- The Weber State University women's volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking five-set loss on Saturday night, falling 25-15, 17-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-6 to Eastern Washington at Reese Court.
Sophomore right side hitter Bethany Wray had 15 kills and redshirt-freshman Shanae Langston added 13 for Weber State.
The Wildcats dropped the first set, but bounced back to win the second and third, and were on the cusp of winning the fourth - leading 23-21 - but the Eagles rallied with the final four points of the set to capture the set to tie the match at 2-2.
Weber State fell to 2-13 overall (0-4 Big Sky) with the loss. Eastern Washington improved to 3-10 (2-2).
