Wildcats Fall at Northern Colorado

The Weber State women's basketball team fell at Northern Colorado in their first conference road game of the season, 69-48.
Northern Colorado forward Lauren Oosdyke led all scorers with 17 points. Meanwhile, Weber State freshman forward Kalie Matthews led the Wildcats with 10 points.
Northern Colorado forward D'Shara Strange led all rebounders with nine. The Wildcats' leader on the glass was freshman forward Regina Okoye who finished with six boards.
Both Okoye and freshman guard Brittney Newcomb scored six points while Brianna Averette and Carlee Lough added five points each.
Weber State never led in the game and falls to 0-3 in Big Sky Conference play and 0-12 overall.
The Wildcats shot just 35 percent to the Bears' 47 percent. The Bears also outshot the Wildcats from behind the arc, going 5-for-9 from three-point range to the Wildcats' 4-for-13.
The Bears outrebounded Weber State 39-30 and had 22 assists to the Wildcats' eight.
Weber State turned the ball over 23 times leading to 26 points. Weber State accrued six points off of turnovers. The Wildcats were also outscored in the paint, giving up 36 points to the Bears while only scoring 26.
Weber State will travel to Grand Forks, North Dakota now for the first time in program history to play North Dakota on Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
