The Weber State women's basketball team closed out its first Big Sky road trip of the season with a loss 73-49 to North Dakota.
The Wildcats' bench was outscored by UND's by a total of 45-17 and that was ultimately the difference on Saturday afternoon in Grand Forks.
North Dakota was led by freshman Mia Lloyd who scored 15 points, but UND had three other players in double figures. Katie Houdek finished with 12 and both Emily Evers and Madi Buck added ten points for North Dakota.
Weber State was led by Kia Rhodes. Rhodes, one of two seniors on the team, finished with 14 points, tying a career-high.
Freshman guard Des Ramos was the only other Wildcat in double figures. Ramos finished with 11 points, going two-for-seven from three-point range.
The Wildcats struggled again from the floor, shooting 30.6 percent. Weber State shot 22.2 percent from beyond the arc, with Ramos' two three being the only two three-pointers the Cats made in the game. The Wildcats ended the game going two-for-nine from three-point land.
The Cats struggled from the free throw stripe as well, going 17-for-25 from the line. Weber State only accrued three assists in the game to 21 turnovers. Those turnovers led to 20 UND points.
North Dakota got the edge in the paint as well, outscoring the Wildcats 24-4 inside.
Both Brianna Averette and Regina Okoye had five rebounds, leading the Cats.
The Wildcats will hit the hardwood again on Saturday when they host in-state and, now conference foe, Southern Utah for a 2 p.m. tip.
