'Cats lose at Montana State, 87-71

The Weber State women's basketball team fell on the road at Montana State on Thursday night, 87-71. With the loss, Weber State falls to 4-12 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
Senior forward Amanda Hughes was the game's leading scorer with 25 points in the game. That total was helped along by five three-pointers and tied her career-high.
Kalie Matthews was the game's leading rebounder with 13 boards. However, it wasn't enough as the Wildcats were outrebounded by the Bobcats, 40-34.
Montana State pulled away about mid-way through the first half and almost never looked back. The Wildcats made a run late in the first half before Montana State pulled away for good in the second half.
The Wildcats didn't have a bad shooting night, shooting 41 percent from the field, but the Bobcats shot 50 percent to outpace Weber State.
The Bobcat bench was a big part of the game for Montana State as they found themselves in foul trouble often Thursday night. The Montana State bench outscored Weber State's, 35-7.
Weber State outscored Montana State in the paint, 34-32, but it was not enough for the Cats to overcome the Bobcats' great shooting night.
The Wildcats will play the final game of this four-game road trip on Saturday afternoon at Montana at 2 p.m.
