Shanna Tobin - Director
Shanna was the owner of Wisebird Bookery from 1998-2007. While she owned the bookstore she was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and served as chair of their Partners in Education Committee two different times. She received the Chamber's Sue Westenskow Memorial Award in 2006.
While she owned the bookstore, served on the marketing and education committee of SummitOne Credit Union for a couple of years. She was also a licensed Realtor from 1997-2009. She is currently a substitute teacher for Head Start.
She has been a member of the Women's Council of McKay Dee Hospital Center for ten years and served as their chair for two years. She is currently the Treasurer for that organization. She has served on the Weber State University's Storytelling Festival Steering Committee for ten years. She is responsible for all their marketing and community outreach. She is also a member of NUHOPE, a task force whose mission is suicide awareness and prevention for Northern Utah.
For recreation, she reads a lot of books with her five book clubs and also enjoys being outdoors. Shanna is a big supporter of Weber State Athletics, holding season tickets for football and basketball. She is always there for the opening kick-off/ tip-off and stays until the clock runs out, win or lose.
