Jerry Trice played a key role for the Wildcats in the 1960s, helping WSU to a pair of Big Sky Conference titles.
An explosive scorer for the Wildcats out of Indianapolis, Indiana, Trice led the Wildcats to the Big Sky title in 1965 and 1966 under Coach Dick Motta, earning First Team All-Big Sky honors both seasons. He was a second-teamer in 1964.
Trice was a 6-foot-3, three-year starter for the 'Cats, as WSU went 59-16 during those seasons. He wrapped up his career as the 11th all-time career scorer with 1,116 points. He also finished among the top 20 rebounders with 524.
Trice is one of only three players in WSU men's basketball history to score 40 or more points in a single game (40 vs. Northern Arizona in 1965-66),
Trice later was drafted in the third round of the 1966 NBA Draft by the Baltimore Bullets.
