  Katie Weyenberg Parker became one of Weber State's most talented post players, helping the Wildcats to impressive success in the late 1980s.

  Along the way, Katie Weyenberg made a big dent in the WSU record books.

   Weyenberg was a Kodak Honorable Mention All-American as a senior in 1989, she was named to the All-Big Sky Conference First Team in 1987 and 1989, and Second Team in 1988. She led the Big Sky in scoring (20 points per game), and rebounding (10.0 rpg) in 1989, leading the 'Cats in those categories in 1987, 1988 and 1989.

  A two-time team captain for Coach Carla Taylor, Weyenberg Parker was tabbed team MVP in '88 and '89.

  As a junior, Weyenberg Parker led the nation in field goal shooting percentage for four weeks in a row, finishing the season ninth overall (.624). She set and still holds the WSU record for field goal percentage (.563) and season field goal percentage.

  She finished her career ranked sixth all-time in scoring with 1,387 points, and fifth all-time in rebound with 705.
