  Shawna Cox was a four-time NCAA Division I All-American at Weber State. She earned eight Big Sky Conference individual event championships and was a member of nine relay team titles, as well as three Big Sky team conference championships.

  Cox held four school records at her graduation.

  Cox was an All-Big Sky Conference performer in cross country, and a member of the 1993 Big Sky championship team. She was named to the Big Sky All-Academic Teams in 1993 and 1994.

  In 1995, Cox received the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year award for the State of Utah.

   Cox earned several titles while competing in indoor track and field, winning the 800 meters title in 1992, '93 and '94. She was a key member of several winning relay teams as well. Cox also held several WSU indoor records in the mile and relay events, earning all-conference and academic all-conference awards four straight seasons.

  In outdoor track and field, Cox won the 800 meters at the conference finals in 1992, '93 and '94, while also winning the 1,500 meters in 1994. Along the way, she was a three-time all-conference and academic all-conference performer, and claimed All-America status in the 1,500 meters in 1994.
