Tara Ferrin

Women's Soccer (1996-1998)

Inducted October 2010

Tara Ferrin, along with twin sister Tricia Ferrin, helped Weber State's women's soccer squad explode onto the scene in its first years as an NCAA varsity sport.

Ferrin, a local product of Layton High School, earned All-Big Sky Conference First Team honors in 1997 and 1998. As a member of the 1996 inaugural team that transitioned the program from a club sport to varsity status, Ferrin, a 5-foot-8 forward, provided the scoring punch in Big Sky play. Ferrin was named to the Big Sky postseason all-tournament team in 1997 and 1998, and led the Wildcats to a glossy 17-3-0 record and the Big Sky championship in 1998.

Ferrin finished her career as the school's all-time career points leader (65 points), as the WSU career goals leader (25), and tied for third on the all-time career assists and game-winning goals lists.
