  Nan Holyoak was a pioneer for women working in the field of collegiate sports information. In 1978, she became the first woman in Big Sky Conference and Weber State history to serve full-time in a sports information office, and was one of the first women nationwide to hold a full-time position.

  In her 25-year career, Holyoak wrote, edited and published the first media guides for WSU women's sports. She served as the media host/coordinator for numerous Big Sky conference championships and regional championships, as well as for the 1980, 1986 and 1994 NCAA Tournament first/second round games, and the 1983 NCAA Tournament West Region games.

  She was the WSU media host for the 1978 volleyball and 2002 and 2003 women's basketball teams which advanced to the NCAA postseason tournaments.
