Inducted February 2013
Michelle Green was a standout for the Weber State women's track and field and cross country teams from 1984-87. In her career she won three Big Sky titles and earned All-Conference honors seven times.
After never running track in high school she came to Weber State as a walk-on. She made history at the 1986 Big Sky Outdoor Championships in Moscow, Idaho, winning three distance events. She captured first place in the 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters, only the second time in Big Sky history an athlete has won all three of those events in the same championship. She was named Outstanding Athlete of the Meet in winning the three events and helping Weber State finish second in the team standings. All total in that meet she scored 30 points, the 10th most points ever scored in a championship in conference history.
The following season she repeated as conference champion in the 10,000 meters to earn All-Conference honors. She was also named one of the Big Sky Scholar athletes.
In cross country Green earned All-Conference honors three times in her career. She finished seventh at the Big Sky meet in 1984, fifth in 1985, and was third in 1986. The Big Sky did not hold indoor track and field championship meets from 1985-87.
